TOPIC:  Factors Influencing a Positive Behavior Outcome

Our behavior is significantly influenced by our subconscious, and our subconscious is significantly influenced by our thoughts and spoken dialogue.  Participants will discover the role of the subconscious, how it collects information, how it directly influences our behavior, and some of its limitations.   Participants will explore how our behavior can be influenced by maintaining a positive attitude and the importance of learning to self monitor one’s thoughts and speech.  Participants will also learn several simple techniques that will help influence the outcome of their desired behavior.

GUEST SPEAKER: Chip Howe, M.A.

Chip has worked for the Mary Lee Foundation for over 25 years and currently serves as the Admissions Coordinator for the Rehabilitation Center.  Chip obtained his BA Degree in Psychology at UT and his MA Degree in Child Psychology at Incarnate Word College.  Appointed by the Austin City Council, Chip serves as a Commissioner on the Austin Mayor’s Committee for People with Disabilities.
