TED TALKS

TED is a global set of conferences run by the private non-profit Sapling Foundation, under the slogan “Ideas Worth Spreading”. TED was founded in 1984 as a one time event,  and emerged as an annual conference series beginning in 1990. TED’s early emphasis was technology and design, consistent with its Silicon Valley origins, but it has since broadened its focus to include talks on many scientific, cultural, and academic topics.  It is not uncommon to discover presentations on state of the art research projects, innovative technology and exploring how one learns and enhancing self-empowerment.

THE ART OF BEING YOURSELF

Participants will view four short TED Talk video presentations which all focus on the art of being yourself.  Each video will discuss ways to improve your quality of life by utilizing a variety of very simple yet effective techniques that will help you get what you want…………..and it is easier than you think.  The art of being yourself is presented in a video format that is both informative and humorous.   If there is something you want and you are not getting it, then this session is for you.

If have any questions or you would like to submit a topic for future discussion; please contact our Session Moderator, Chip Howe, at (512) 443-5777
